JOHN J. MONROE

Our Friend Mr. John J. Monroe has recently undergone heart surgery.  We wish him a speedy recovery and hopefully he will be back doing what he loves so much. Coon Hunting.  If you love the Treeing Walker Coon Hound Breed and especially the Finley River Strain of hounds you owe John Monroe a big thank you.

Through the years he has had a big impact and influence on the Treeing Walker Breed of Coon Hounds.  He has owned and studded some of the top and famous hounds in our breed.  FINLEY RIVER CHIEF, 1965 ACHA WORLD CHAMPION CLAXTON'S FINLEY RIVER SPOT, GRAND NITE CHAMPION MONROE'S FINLEY RIVER JOE, DUAL GRAND CHAMPION BEAVER LAKE LIGHTING, GRAND NITE CHAMPION FINLEY RIVER PETE, 2009 ACHA WORLD CHAMPION BUCK CREEK IKE are just a few of the top hounds he has offered to the public.

SETWA HALL OF FAME

50 years after his death Nite Champion Finley River Chief is finally inducted into the South Eastern Treeing Walkers Association Hall Of Fame. Congrats to Chief and John J. Monroe.

KALAL'S MINN DESTINY'S IN THE WIND

We are sorry to report the death of Alan Kalal's MINN DESTINY'S IN THE WIND. Destiny was a Dual Grand Champion plus numerous other titles won. She produced many good pups that make some very good coonhounds.
